The porposed project uses are consistent with the City of Rancho Cucamonga General Plan and the Victoria Community Plan, which designates the majority of the project site "Regional Commercial" and "Regional Center" respectively. The City's General Plan designates portions of the project site as "Mixed Use" (located south of Church Street and north of Foothill Boulevard) and "Regional Related Office/Commerical" (located on the southeast corner of Church Street and Victoria gardens Lane) respectively
Document Description
The proposed project has been comprehensively planned to ensure the development of complimentary uses within (and adjacent to) the project site. The 174-acre project site has been assembled in the eastern portion of the City, through the combination of 147 acres of (City of Rancho Cucamonga) Redevelopment Agency controlled property,18 acres of undeveloped property, and 9 acres of land previously dedicated for street right-of-ways. At ultimate build-out, the project site will include approximately 2.45 million square feet of retail, office, and civic uses as well as up to 600 multiple-family residential units. The development scenario for the proposed Rancho Cucamonga Mall envisions development of a "new downtown" consisting of an open air mixed use complex which includes an attractive and compatible blend of major retail tenants, specialty commercial uses, restaurant and entertainment outlets, office uses, residential dwellings, and community facilities.
