Document Description
This project, to be carried out by the Kern County Tree Foundation in partnership with the County of Kern Department of Airports, involves the planting of 500 trees on parking lot grounds of the airport. It is anticipated tha this project will commence in April of 2001 and be completed by March 2003. Trees will be non-native ornamentals that have been selected for their disease resistance, adaptation to the urban landscape, shade capacity, and minimal litter production.
