Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Turlock Irrigation District. The applicant proposes to restore a single channel and floodplain through the SRP 9 segment by filling the existing area with approximately 146,000 cubic yards of material. Fill will be imported to the site from yet-to-be-determined sources. The Operator will create salmonid spawning riffles in the newly created channel. The Operator will construct an "infiltration galley" to divert water from the Tuolumne River at this location into a nearby irrigation canal. The Operator will repair an approximately 100-foot breach of beam in the area.
