Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Stream Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game code to the project applicant, Kern County Engineering and Survey Services. The applicant proposes to create a diversion channel, approximately 400 feet long by 10 feet wide, to intercept a maximum of 20 cubic feet per second of flow from runoff waters generated within Smith Canyon, which currently flow through the town of Onyx. Flows will be diverted prior to entering the town and redirected back into the historic flow channel.
