The Project will help reduce nitrate contamination of the area groundwater by converting a residential and industrial area from a septic sewage system to a collection/central treatment sewage system. The Project will involve: 1) constructing ~1,400 linear ft of trench stabilization, ~28,500 linear ft of 8 inch diameter sewer pipeline, ~100 manholes, and necessary connections and clean-outs within the public right-of-way; and 2) conducting necessary site preparation, access, traffic control and security improvements. The completed sewer collection system will transport sewage from the collection system to City of Oxnard wastewater treatment plant for treatment and disposal.
