Document Description
Variance to the City of Oxnard from hazardous waste facility permit requirements. The three-year variance authorizes Fresno County to conduct residential (door-to-door) collections of HHW. Collected wastes will be transported to a PBR HHW collection facility. The collections provide appropriate means for the elderly and handicapped of disposing of hazardous waste.

The collection will be conducted by qualified personnel, trained in hazardous waste management and all activites will be carefully regulated by variance conditions to assure against any environmental impacts. 2) The limited scope of operation and shipment of wastes to the PBR facilities limit the potential for any risk of upset or accident; and 3) Experienced contractor management will be present to respond to any unforseeable upset or waste management incident.
