The project is the construction of a K-5 elementary school by the Oakland Unified School District. OUSD does not own the project site. The acquisition of 29 properties totaling about 7.54 acres will be necessary, resulting in the displacement of single and multi-family residences and commercial and retail businesses. Property owners would be compensated and relocation assistance provided as required under the California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Chapter 6. The elementary school will house a maximum of 600 students and 35 staff.
