Document Description
Construction of the Ponderosa Elementary School on a 12.08 acre site located in the City of Palmdale in northern Los Angeles County. The proposed school would serve grades K through 8 with a capacity for 750 students. The proposed project would encompass the entire 12.08 acre site. The total square footage of school buildings would be approximately 71,667 with parking, athletic fields and ancillary facilities taking up the remainder of the site. The project will result in impacts to the Mohave ground squirrel, which is protected under the California Endangered Species Act, requiring issuance of a California Incidental Take Permit "Permit".
