Surrounding land uses include the Ashe Tract community to the east, the Tehachapi Municipal Airport to the west, an auto salvage operation to the north, and vacant land to the south. With the exception of the auto salvage operation, lands surrounding the project area are located within the corporate limits of the City of Tehachapi. The project area includes the Ashe Tract, a 17-acre existing residential development with densities averaging one dwelling unit per 6,000 square feet of area. The Ashe Tract subdivision is presently located in the City of Tehachapi and is zoned R-1-8 (Low Density Residential), M-1 (Light Industrial) and M-2 (Heavy Industrial) on adjacent sides of Dennison Road.
Document Description
The project consists of construction of street, drainage and landscape improvements within the existing street right-of-way along Dennision Road in the City of Tehachapi. The project will include reconstruction of the roadway, construction of a decorative block wall, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and installation of a storm drain system, landscape irrigation, trees and/or plant materials. The City of Tehachapi will be responsible for design, improvements of the project and maintenance of these improvements.
