Document Description
The project consists of construction of a metered turn-out facility on the Colorado River Aqueduct with magnetic flow meter and electrical service, construction of approximately 4,000 linear feet of replacement water transmission and pipelines, construction of a roofed, 300,000-gallon treated water storage reservoir, rehabilitation of an existing 300,000-gallon open raw water storage reservoir, construction of a 40-gpm water treatment and pumping facility, and implementation of a water-exchange agreement between the District, the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California enabling the District to continue to use surface water from the Colorado River Aqueduct. The project will be constructed on rights-of-way controlled by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the County of Riverside, and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, which agencies will be consulted during project design. Soil conditions and contours will be returned to near preconstruction conditions after completion of construction.
