Document Description
This project consists of the replacement of an existing 42" corrugated metal pipe culvert that has collapsed with a 48" culvert, 30 feet in length, that will be installed at 15% below the steam grade. A backhoe or excavator will remove existing debris and vegetation from around the exisitng culvert inlet and a temporary sand bag dam will be used to contain any existing flows above the work site. Compact fill material will be placed over the culvert. The disturbed banks and bed of the stream will be rip-rapped greater than one foot diameter. Any existing, exposed disturbed soil will be seeded and mulched after the work is completed. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Permit Number #R3-2000-1290 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
