Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit to decommission and dismantle the Big Lagoon sawmill buildings and equipment and associated office/lunch room building. Simpson Timber Company will conduct an auction to sell the existing buildings (to be dismantled for materials), remaining equipment, and machinery. The successful bidder(s) will be dismantled and remove the items purchased. Demolition, staging, and stockpile areas will encompass an approximate 6-acre portion of the site. There will be no dismantling activities, staging, parking or waste material stockpile areas within 100 feet of the pond (wetland area) or streams (Maple Creek and Gray Creek). All activities and development will be conducted within the County's permitting jurisdiction area and outside of the Coastal Commission's appeal jurisdiction. No work will be conducted below grade.
