These two applications are on the same small Unnamed Stream tributary (on the east side) to an Unnamed Stream (locally called Stanley Creek), thence Napa River. Application 30504 was filed on a 25-acre-foot off-stream reservoir which was built between 1948 and 1978. This reservoir is filled from a diversion on an Unnamed Stream tributary to Stanley Creek, thence Napa River, and from two groundwater wells that draw water from fractured bedrock along a fault trace that crosses the Truchard property. In order to satisfy protestants who divert water from Stanley Creek, Mr. Truchard installed a bypass system. He also agreed to install a measuring weir on Stanley Creek for a minimum flow of 3 cubic feet per second. Application 30561 filed on an existing 40-acre-foot on-stream reservoir that was constructed prior to 1960 (Application 17064 was filed on 5/1/1956 [License 6203 was issued on 3/7/1961, for 31 acre-feet]) for stock watering. This reservoir is upstream of the East-Side Reservoir and is at the point where two small Unnamed Streams join to form the Unnamed Stream on which that reservoir is located. The reservoir has a screened overflow pipe that directs water back into the Unnamed Stream a few hundred yards downstream of the dam through an underground pipe.
