The Remedial Action consists of excavating 57,000 tons of contaminated soil for off-site treatment or recycling, confirmation sampling, and backfilling the removal areas with clean, certified fill. The contaminants of concern are chlorinated pesticides and Arclor-128. Confirmation sampling will ensure that the cleanup goals have been met, resulting in the overall risk to meet the recommended 1 x 10-6 risk based criteria.
