Document Description
The project site is located in western Orange County in the City of Buena Park. Specifically, the project site is located within the confines of the Buena Park Mall (BPM or mall) property. The BPM property is defined as the area located south of La Palma Avenue, east of Stanton Avenue, and west of Dale Street. The portion of the BPM property primarily affected by the project is an approximately 8 (eight) acre area, located within the southerly portion of the mall site. Unless otherwise noted, building areas discussed throughout this IS are expressed in terms of gross leaseable floor area (GLA). Within the affected project areas, the existing JC Penney's store and miscellaneous small retail uses will be demolished, and the proposed project uses will be constructed. A small (approximately 5,600 square feet) expansion is also proposed along the northerly mall frontage, in the area just west of the existing Old Navy store. Additionally, existing pad entitlements along the mall's northerly, La Palma Avenue frontage will be expanded by approximately 3,000 square feet.
