The project will remove excess sand and gravel (approximately 50 cubic yards) from the streambed to improve flow and prevent bank erosion. Spoils will be spread evenly on the owner's property. Planting of native willows, alders and cottonwood may take place on the banks of the Hughes Creek on the owner's property.
