The Housing Element Update is the periodic review of the City's General Plan Housing Element as mandated by the California State Legislature. The Housing Element Update identifies local housing needs, conditions, and availability. The Housing Element is public policy document that sets forth the City's goals, objectives, policies, and local programs for the conservation, maintenance, and provision of housing. The Housing Element promotes residential development as anticipated by the General Plan Final Environmental Impact Report, 1992.
