Document Description
The operator proposes to replace an existing sewer line that crossed Old Garden Creek. The stream has eroded away from the existing concrete pipe casing. The old casing and pipe will be removed and replaced with new pipe and casing. If necessary stream flows may be diverted around the construction site. The site has been identified as potential habitat for California red-legged frog, steelhead, southwestern pond turtle, and two striped garter snake. Mitigation measures have been recommended in a prepared Mitigated Negative Declaration, the Old Garden Creek Special Status Species Habitat Assessment, and by the National Marine Fisheries Service. The CDFG is executing a Lake and SAA (#R3-2000-0990) pursuant to Section 1601 of the FGC to the project applicant, John Moss/City of San Luis Obispo.
