Acqusition of approximately 51 acres of undeveloped property located within the Focused Planning Area (FPA) of the Multiple Habitat Conservation Program (MHCP), to be permanently preserved in its natural condition as an open space and conservation area. The property would be purchased and managed by the City of Escondido for habitat preservation. No physical improvements are proposed. The property is located in the RE-40 and RE-80 zones (Residential Estates, 40,000 and 80,000 square foot minimum lot size respectively), and within the Estate I and Rural II General Plan designations (Tier 1- Kit Carson).
