Document Description
The preparation of a specific plan for Downtown Redding that is consistent with and seeks to implement the Redding General Plan as it relates to Downtown land use and planning. The Redding General Plan states that "reclaiming Downtown as the heart and cultural center of Redding is of paramount importance. " The General Plan, in concert with the Downtown Redding Specific Plan, lays the foundation for the transformation of Downtown through a number of policies geared to enhancing pedestrian orientation, encouraging residential development, and investing in specific planning.
