Document Description
The University of California (UC) would conduct focused vegetation management, including removal of selected hazardous trees, ladder fuels, and leaf litter, on three areas of UC-owned property managed respectively by UC Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and UC Berkeley. The Project areas total ~35 acres. Project work would last approximately 16 weeks spread out over a 2024-2026 period. The Project purpose is to reduce risk of wildland fire in critical UC LBNL and UC Berkeley campus areas, including near major egress/exit roads and student housing.
