Document Description
Liberty High School is a continuous education high school program with an enrollment of 60 to 70 students. The school is located on a 2.7-acre site that also houses the offices of the Benicia Unified School District and the district maintenance facilities. The proposed project consists of constructing a one-story, wood-frame building having 2,000 square feet to be used as a shop/classroom. The proposed building will be constructed within the present site (now a part of a paved parking lot). The proposed building will cost an estimated $250,000 and will be funded through the State Department of Education and the School District. If funding and planning proceed on schedule, construction is proposed for early 2001. The site has been developed with buildings and pavement for over 50 years. There are no surface waters and/or wetlands on or adjacent to the project site.
