Document Description
The proposed Project is the adoption of a new redevelopment plan for a project area known as the Artesia Redevelopment Project Area in accordance with the standards of the CRL, Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq. The purpose of the Redevelopment Plan is to eliminate the conditions of physical and economic blight that exist in the Project Area through revitalization and reuse of commercial, industrial and vacant properties. The total Project area encompasses approximately 245 acres. The Project conforms to the adopted Artesia General Plan. For the purpose of environmental analysis, buildout of the Project Area totaled a net increase of approximately 1.0 million square feet of commercial space, net decline of approximately 387,000 square feet of office space and a net increase of approximately 361,000 square feet of industrial space.
