Document Description
The corridor alternatives are multimodal corridors consisting of lanes for motor vehicles (both high occupancy vehicle [HOV] and general purpose mixed use lanes), a transit corridor facility (could be rail or busway within the median or landscape buffer, walkways, trails, bike paths, medians, landscape buffers, greenbelts, and utility corridors. Required right-of-way width will vary depending upon the number of traffic lanes proposed and the terrain. The right-of-way will be wider in areas with slopes, where cuts and fills are required. The right-of-way for transit may be included in portions of an alternative and not in other portions, depending on the most logical routes for transit.
