Document Description
The corridor alternatives are multimodal corridors consisting of lanes for motor vehicles (both high occupancy vehicle [HOV] lanes and general purpose mixed flow lanes), a transit facility (rail or busway within the median or landscape buffer), walkways, trails, bike paths, medians landscape buffers greenbelts and utility corridors. Required right-of-way width will vary depending upon the number of traffic lanes proposed and the terrain. The required right-of-way will be wider in areas with slopes, where cuts and fills are required. The right-of-way for transit may be included in portions of an alternative and not in other portions, depending on the most logical routes for transit.
