Document Description
To optimize the recharge of groundwater in the basin, the Department is proposing to alter the flow of surface water within the channel to utilize other flow lines within the Cajon Wash. To accomplish this, the Department is proposing to construct a permanent rock and earthen berm across the presently active flowline of the creek to divert flows in the channel toward the central portion of Cajon Wash. The diversion will be accomplished by placing rock and earthern material excavated from the wash into the active channel forcing the surface flow toward the central portion of the wash. Small flow lines connecting the active channel to the new channel locations will be established.
