Document Description
The proposed project consists of the construction of a replacement facility to serve as the South Lake Tahoe Area Office for the California Highway Patrol. The facility will consist of a 5, 000 square foot building and an attatched 4, 500 square foot vehicle service building/parking garage. The proposed project also includes a detatched utility room for radio equipment and an emergency generator, a radio tower, and above-ground fuel storage tanks. The facility will include applicable storm water infiltration and runoff control features. The facility will be built on an existing state-owned parcel that has a high capacity rating; the parcel is level and contains no wetlands or stream environment zone soils. The facility is needed to replace the existing Patrol office in South Shore, which does not meet current building codes or serve the mission of this area.
