Document Description
A forest fire in the Feather River Canyon, the Storrie fire, has burned more than twenty thousand acres as of August 30, 2000. However, it is anticipated that the burned landscape in this large, steep watershed will result in substantial debris flows when winter rains begin. The purpose of the project is to prevent and minimize damage to State Highway facilities.
