Document Description
The Reclamation Plan (RP 00-01) has been filed under the requirement of Yuba County Ordinance Code Chapter 11.20 - Surface Mining and the State Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA). In summary, the document describes how mined lands will be restored after mining is completed. There are two operations, Garcia Sand and Gravel (91-58-0023) and Stringer Pit (91-58-0022), that are described in RP 00-01. Both mining operations are considered permitted via a vested right to mine. That is an operation that was in existence prior to 1976 pursuant to SMARA. The site is located entirely within the County General Plan land use designation of Extractive Industrial wih a zoning designation of Extractive Industrial (M-2).
