The project includes rehabilitation of parts of Ferry Point Pier; reinforcement of existing shoreline protection near the pier; improved public access to the pier through the extension of a paved shoreline trail and through. The construction of a concrete bridge from the shoreline to the pier; lighting, water, and fish cleaning facilities on the pier; and interpretive signage highlighting the historic importance of the pier. All parts of the pier and approaches to the pier that will be open to the public will be wheelchair-accessible.
