Document Description
The 2007 Adopted Drainage Master Plan (DMP) for the Elverta Specific Plan relies on linear channelization three natural waterways that flow east-west through the plan area. These drainage facilities were planned as straight channels turning at right angles. The Amendment to the DMP would widen and modify the existing natural channels instead of creating deep, narrow linear channels. The Amended channel design includes the creation of a meandering low-flow channel, freshwater marsh, and other wetland and riparian areas within the new channel corridors.
