The southeastern end of the property extends into adjacent open space and eventually joins with Aliso and Wood Canyons Regional Park to the south.
Document Description
Subdivision of approximately 56.25 acres into seven building sites consisting of approximately 13.68 acres (including the street), a 38.6 acre lot designated for permanent open space and a 3.9 acre remainder parcel. A single cul-de-sac street will provide access by extending Lavender Lane and will have a maximum slope of 15%. Lavender Lane will be approximately 630 feet long as measured from the centerline of its intersection with Morningside Drive. The project includes 24,000 cubic yards of cut and fill to be balanced on-site and future development of seven custom homes. An application for an exception to the City's Grading Ordinance has been requested to allow slopes in excess of 25 feet and retaining walls in excess of five feet. An application for a General Plan Amendment/Coastal Plan Amendment has been requested to remove the General Plan designations of a major ridgeline from the project site.
