The proposed project consists of the development of a raised-ceiling, 41,950 square foot (usable floor space) metal casino structure on a project site of approximately 1.3 acres. The facility would be constructed adjacent to the existing San Manuel gaming facility and would be considered an interim expansion. The structure would house 1,100 gaming machines, a snack bar, surveillance facilities, restrooms, and various other service and support areas. This facility is envisioned to provide gaming opportunities for current casino clientele, and is not expected to attract any new casino visitors. Conceptual design for the facility includes a facade enclosure, to minimize visual impacts from the metal building. Infrastructure for the facility will include city supplied utilities. An enclosed power facility will need to be constructed outside of the structure for AV/AC equipment. Retaining walls will need to be built along the northern and eastern edges of the project site. A service road for the employees is proposed to run along the northern and eastern edges of the project site. This project will not include any expansion of parking.
