The subject property is 6.14 acres. On August 1999, under DCV-33-99, a materials recovery facility (MRF), also known as the Colton Disposal Facilities Development Project was granted a CUP and by the City for the following: a truck storage yard, truck maintenance facility, solid waste recycling and processing center, public buy-back/recycling center. The proposed project is to amend the existing CUP and grant the facility the right to accept mixed municipal solid waste from existing customers including residential/commercial/industrial throughout the City of Colton and San Bernardino County.
