Document Description
China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station has requested a renewal of a Hazardous Waste Storage Permit that was issued in 1992. In addition to the continued storage of 720 containers in the Container Storage Unit (CSU), the request includes an increase from 12 containers to the building's design capacity of 32 containers in the Polychlorinated Biphenyl Storage Building (PCBSB) and the addition to the permit of four existing 2,000 gallon aboveground storage tanks for liquid petroleum waste. The existing tanks are currently used for 90 day generator storage. The permit will allow storage of onsite generated hazardous wastes for one year before removal to an off-site treatment and/or disposal facility.
