Document Description
The applicant proposes to conduct excavation activities as part of the anual cleanout of sediment from in-stream settlement ponds as part of the Annual Storm Water Management Program at Hanson Permanente Cement Company. Thee instream ponds (13,14, and 22) and a concrete culvert within Permanente Creek will be excavated to remove excess sediment to improve water quality dowmstream of the Hanson facility. The project also includes 355 feet of rock rip-rap an the south side of pond 13 and 220 feet of rock rip-rap along the north sode of pond 13. A 39 foot long and 9 foot tall gabion wall will be constructed on the east side of pond 22. Twenty two (22) feet of rock rip-rap wil be installed on the west bank of pond 22.
