Document Description
The Department of Fish and Game has determined that such operations may substantially adversely affect existing fish and wildlife resources including: resident trout, nongame fish, and aquatic invertebres due to the degradation of aquatic habitat. The degradation of aquatic habitat would result from downstream sedimentation caused by construction activities (earth excavation, grading, and/or placement of fill on, or adjacent to, stream channel banks), the removal of riparian vegetation and natural mulch (exposing bare soil to erosion) dewatering of excavated sites and the placement of a culvert pipe across the stream that could potentially obstruct storm flow and debris.
