Document Description
City Council approval of amendments to the NTC Precise Plan and Local Coastal Program approved by the California Coastal Commission on June 12, 2001. The NTC Precise Plan and Local Coastal Program were adopted by the City Council on October 3, 2000. The amendments approved by the Coastal Commission include an emphasis on view preservation and view corridor creation, the enhancement of visitor-serving uses and public access, the imposition of height limits within the residential and office areas, the addition of greater specificity regarding water quality standards, and modifications to permitted uses within the Mixed Use Area, Navy Building 623 in the Visitor Hotel Area, and the four Officers Quarters within the Historic District.
