Variance to Santa Clara County Hazardous Materials Compliance Division from Health and Safety Code, section 25160. This variance will allow the Santa Clara County Hazardous Materials Compliance Division to pick up, transfer and deliver abandoned wastes that have been previously collected by other public agencies and consolidated at household hazardous waste collection facilities. The variance is limited to the transfer of abandoned HHW and CESQG wastes only.

The limited scope of operations and shipment of wastes to a facility designed to manage the wastes limits the potential for any risk of upset or accident.
