Document Description
The project consists of a complete renovation of the 40 year old, 21,145 square foot existing Life Science Building to house classrooms, computer science laboratories, and faculty offices. The project includes a substantial seismic upgrade to meet current codes, reconfiguration of interior spaces, and renovation / replacement of the aging roof, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection, and telecommunication systems. The project also includes some demolition and replacement of paving, irrigation, landscaping, and additional exterior lighting work. Also, as part of the project, the 1,256 square foot, 40 year old Planetarium building will be renovated to meet current codes and requirements.
