Document Description
Construct and operate a 7,594 animal unit milk cow dairy on a 123-acre portion of a 1,147-acre site to house 3,200 holstein milk cows, 3,300 heifers, and calves aged from birth to 24 months, and 480 dry cows. The facility would include barns (milking, hay, commodity, hospital/maternity) freestalls and corrals, a wastewater lagoon and settling basins. Lagoon water would be used for the irrigation of forage crops on 850.5 acres of the site. The remaining 173.5 acres of the site would be maintained in native pasture and undisturbed.
