Document Description
The ordinance revisions establish procedures for the design, construction, and operation of dairies and other confined animal facilities in Merced County. The procedures include preparation of a CNMP for all facilities; design requirements for retention ponds and settling basins at new expanding facilties; and other measures to protect water quality and health of County residents. The document entitled Merced County Dairy Operation Information provides additional guidance to facility operators for the implementation of the Ordinance, and is a part of the project.
