Document Description
The California Department of Public Health (Department) Safe Drinking Water Proposition 84 Program is providing state funds for the project. The Hillview Water Company proposes to provide wellhead treatment for the removal of uranium at Sierra Lakes Wells No. 4 and 7. Arsenic removal will be performed with a coagulation/filtration system. The coagulation/filtration system will also remove the excess iron and manganese that exceeds the secondary State MCL standards for some of the sources within the service area. The new treatment facility will replace and increase the capacity of the existing iron and manganese removal plant currently located in the Sierra Lakes area. A generator will be installed at the Sierra Lakes facility to ensure uninterrupted operation.
