Document Description
The State Department of Health Services determined that groundwater produced at the Rose and Lang groundwater wells is under the direct influence of surface water, and is therefore, subject to the U.S. Environment Protection Agency's Surface Water Treatment Rule. As a result, the District must provide filtration to protect against microbiological contaminants. The project comprises construction of an additional water treatment facility at the Rose and Lang groundwater wells using contact clarification and filtration, which was determined to be the most economically feasible alternative for the required additional treatment.
