Present Land Use
Existing land uses: Oil production and commercial nursery. The City has prezoned the project site as "R1" - Single-Family Residential and the City of Brea General Plan currently designates the site as "Low Density Residential". The project would include the annexation of property and the proposed specific plan would serve as the overlying zoning and general plan designation if the project is approved.
Document Description
The residential component includes up to 66 single-family detached residential units and up to 86 multifamily townhomes. Approximately 20 acres of the site will be designated for public uses that would include active and passive recreational facilities, such as baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, play areas, picnic grounds, and other ancillary facilities. The project may also potentially include an elementary school. As part of the proposed project, some of the existing oil and gas production facilities onsite will be retained in a portion of the site.
