Document Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) proposes to construct various improvements to provide flood control, a multi-purpose trail, and higher quality riparian habitat along the existing Murrieta Creek Channel within the location described below. The project will increase the channel capacity by excavating a wider and deeper channel section. Riprap and soil cement are proposed to protect the banks from erosion. The project will also include the establishment of a riparian corridor to provide higher quality native habitat for wildlife species. The Corps is the Federal lead agency and will construct the project. The District owns the channel right of way, will provide funding, and will operate and maintain the project.
