Caltrans proposes two improvements to ease congestion problems on the northbound (n/b) I-405 as it approaches the eastbound (e/b) US-101. These improvements are as follows: 1) Widening of the n/b I-405 to e/b US-101 connector by adding an additional lane. 2) Continuation of the n/b I-405 auxiliary lane from its northerly terminus to the standard point of the e/b US-101 connector.
