Document Description
McClellan Air Force Base operates a hazardous waste storage facility, known as the Conforming Storage Facility (CSF), under a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permit. The permit was issued by the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) in 1995, pursuant to Section 25200 of the California Health and Safety Code, and it is set to expire on June 4, 2000. The U.S. Air Force has requested an extension of six months before beginning closure activities and to continue use of the CSF as a 90-day generator storage location.
