Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 4, Section 15304
Reasons for Exemption
Species listed in the Natural Diversity Data Base for the area were researched and no impacts to these species were expected. A 1601 SAA will be completed with the DFG and all specifications in the agreement will be strictly adhered to. No pollutants will be allowed to enter the stream. A non-jeopardy biological opinion was issued by the National Marine Fisheries Service on August 27, 1997 to the US Army Corps of Engineers concerning the DFG's Fishery Habitat Restoration Program with regard to the listed coho salmon. Consequently the USCOE issued permit #22323 to the DFG to conduct instream habitat improvement using methods established in the California Salmonid Stream Habitat Restoration Manual.
