Document Description
The California Science Center proposes to approve a license agreement to allow use of some of the streets within Exposition Park for the purpose of conducting a NASCAR race. Race activities will occur over a 3-day period on July 14, 15, and 16, 2000. The race will involve the use of approximately 1 mile of City and Exposition Park streets for a closed 7-turn course. Racecourse streets are Coliseum Drive, Figueroa Street, and Hoover Avenue. Racecourse will be delineated using temporary safety barriers and other measures to protect the public. Necessary permits and agreements shall be obtained from the City of Los Angeles and the Coliseum Commission prior to license agreement approval.
